Today is the last day we are open for the year! I will be back off and on but only part time. NEW THIS WEEK: Giant Ghiradelli Triple Chocolate Brownies packed full of Reese’s peanut butter cups. They’re chewy in the center and the edges are crispy and they’re so so good! The Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispie Treats are another sweet option. 🌈😀

Gourmet German Chocolate Cupcakes and Chocolate Chip Toasted Walnut and Cranberry Cookies today at “Elaine’s”.

Elaine’s has new fall hours now. 11 to 4 Monday through Friday. I also have some excellent baked goods homemade every day. This week I have Apple Crumb Pie made from local apples and Chocolate Chip Cranberry and Walnut Cookies. I will be open about one more month before closing for the winter.

As I watched this demolition I thought about the man I didn't know. I had heard his dream had been to own his own restaurant and upon his retirement did just that. He built a beautiful building for all the community to admire. Unfortunately, because of health issues the Burger Barn was open just a few years. It was sad for that reason plus I was saddened at the loss of all the lumber that could have been recycled and put into helping someone else that really needed it. Greenville will now get it's first big chain store "Dollar General". I have heard pros and cons regarding the store from the locals. Sadness at the loss of the beautiful Burger Barn building and excitement of a new store. Well, here we go into another era for our little town with the beautification of new sidewalks and a new store. Hoping for a positive effect for the town. (Click link below to see the videos)

Greenville's beautification project is coming along. We are not just getting new sidewalks. We are getting brand-new pavement all the way through town. This is how it is done. Out with the old. And yes I am open today.!! The workers said they wanted me to open to feed them. So much appreciate their support! You can get into my driveway through Evergreen market.
